Paul Ransey Kendrick
Age 45, of Mount Vernon, Ill., died Sept. 19, 2009 in the Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, Tenn. Born June 17, 1964, in Canton, Ohio to Terry and Linda (Chaney) Kendrick. He married Lawanna Gail Richardson on July 25, 1987 at First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Ill.
Survived by his wife, Lawanna Kendrick of Mount Vernon, Ill.; daughter, Ranzie Michelle Kendrick of Mount Vernon, Ill.; son, Christopher Paul Kendrick of Mount Vernon, Ill.; mother, Linda 'Skippy' Kendrick of Canton, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Trula Kendrick of Canton, Ohio; brother, Glen Kendrick and wife, Luann of Canton, Ohio; sister, Terri Lynn Stein and husband, Bernard 'Ross' of Oviedo, Fla.; brother-in-law, Kerry Richardson and wife, Barbara of Mount Vernon, Ill.; nephews, Clifton Richardson of Murray, Ky., Brent and Jason Richardson of Mount Vernon, Ill.; nieces, Ashleigh Kendrick and fiancé, Jonathon Whittlesey of Lyndhurst, Ohio, Michelle McManus and husband, Bryan of Munroe Falls, Ohio, Danielle Miller and Ryan Johnston of Munroe Falls, Ohio, Raelyn Kendrick of Canton, Ohio; great-nephew, Kaden Johnston of Munroe Falls, Ohio; mother-in-law and father- in-law, Marvin and Eula Jean Richardson of Mount Vernon, Ill.; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Special Black Lab friend, 'Buddy' of Mount Vernon, Ill. His father, paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
Paul served in the U.S. Army; was a custodian with T. Ham Sign Company and other sign companies in the area, Garden Glen Apartments and Casey Junior High School. He worshipped at Logan Street Baptist Church, was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and outdoorsman; he loved to volunteer and help out any time he could.
Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ill., with Reverend Jeff Harrell and Reverend Don Rector officiating. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ill. Interment Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Ill. Members of Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 conducted Full Military Honors at the cemetery.

Paul was a great kid. He was like one of my kids when he was growing up .What Paul and Carl didn't think to get into.
