Sarah Lash Obituary
Age 31, of Cuyahoga Falls, a wonderful granddaughter, daughter, mother, sister and friend, left us on Thursday, December 3, 2009 to spend Christmas with the Lord.
A life-resident of Summit and Stark Counties, Sarah had been employed in FirstMerit's Community Reinvestment Department for 13 years, and recently at TLT Babcock in Fairlawn. Sarah attended the University of Akron and Walsh University.
Preceded in death by her sister, Ann Noel McCartney and Grandfather Floyd Scott; Sarah is survived by sons, Trevor Wysomierski and Karson Lash; mother, Evelyn (Mark) Milhoan; father, Robert (Pat) McCartney; siblings, Nathaniel, Rachel and Jared Milhoan, Jay Shultz and Samuel McCartney; grandparents, James and Louise Holt, William and Willadean Butt, Jean Scott; Harold and Gail Milhoan, Sam and Betty Vance and other loving relatives, dear friends.
Funeral service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Campfield-Hickman- Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton 44203 (330-745-3161). Calling hours are Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sarah E. Lash Memorial Fund, c/o of any Chase Bank.

Evelyn, Gena and I were looking at some old Girl Scout pictures and Gena mentioned that Sarah had passed away.I was so shocked. You just don't expect people our daughters ages to pass at such an early age. I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a sweetie.

I just heard about Sarah's tragic passing. I used to work with Sarah at Firstmerit in Stow. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend. I will never forget that she drove all the way to Dover to attend my wedding. She will be greatly missed.

I remember Sarah being in my freshman Drama and Speech classes at Lake Middle School. I remember that Christmas program back in December 1992 and how later that school year there was a picture of Sarah with the caption of "Singing Angle." We were in a speech group for a final in speech class at the end of the year, and I can say that I enjoyed her company. She will be missed by her loved ones. Remember, Heaven is much richer with her, and Earth is much poorer without her.

I had the privilege of becoming close friends with Sarah when she moved into our close knit neighborhood on Chaparrel. It didn't take long for me to become enamored by her.
I remember walking over to her house and begging her to come play football with us boys. Lucky for me, I was successful from time to time. I always took a razzing for it but she was worth it.
We remained friends into high school and regretfully lost contact when she moved. She has remained in my thoughts and a reserved place in my heart throughout the years.
Sarah was a very special person! I hope to have the privilege of catching up with her in heaven.

I will never forget the story of how I used to "yank" on Sarah's beautiful, black hair when I was a baby. She was my favorite babysitter as a child. I am so fortunate that I got to spend hours catching up with her last Christmas...she was such a caring individual with a beautiful soul. Sarah and I became quick friends when we met during Trevor's cub scout meetings. We were both single mom's at the time and found a quick connection there. Later we went to a women's bible study together for a few months and Sarah and I drove together so we talked about our lives, kids, faith, and more. She had such a compassionate heart, always concerned about me and offering to help however she could. I will miss her happy, energetic voice, but believe I will hear her voice again in heaven some day. I believe she would want her family to forget the sad parts and remember the happy parts. I went to Lake High School with Sarah. She was a wonderful girl. After she moved we lost touch. I then started working at the Y in Cuyahoga Falls and started talking to Sarah again when she came in to drop off her son. She was so excited when she was expecting her second son. We exchanged numbers but we all know how busy life becomes. I emailed her a few times after I left the Y but never heard back. In our middle school yearbook she was a singing angel in the Christmas program. I know she is a singing angel in Heaven. Your whole family is in my thoughts. Sarah will be missed.
