Bettye Hackler Obituary

Bettye Huffman Hackler, 84, of Highland Springs, Va., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, in Stuart, Va.
She is the daughter of the late Claude and Alma Jones Huffman, having been born in Grayson County on March 9, 1938.
She was a devoted member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Highland Springs, N.C.
She was a most loving wife and mother who made a happy and comfortable home for her family.
She was lighthearted and fun loving and has left volumes of precious memories for her remaining family.
Survivors include one sister, Lucy Roberts of Comers Rock, Va.; niece, Linda and Reggie Johnson of Mount Airy, N.C.; nephew, Terry Holdaway of Wytheville, Va.; and several other nieces, nephews and friends.
Ms. Hackler is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her son, Michael; three sisters; and three brothers-in-law.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Reins-Sturdivant Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Holdaway and the Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial followed in the Brush Creek Cemetery in Independence, Va.
