Allen Thornton
CANON, GA - Jesus called Mr. Allen Thornton home at the age of 65 years old on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
Mr. Thornton was born in Franklin County, GA, February 12, 1945, son of the late George Thornton and the late Louise Fleeman Thornton. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors Include: Wife, Alice Loucindy Allen Thornton, Canon, GA; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Lisa and Darryl Moss Royston, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Jeffery and Brenda Thornton Canon, GA, Gregory Thornton and Denis Davis Royston, GA; Sister, Linda Adams, Elberton, GA;
Half-Brother, Hewell Loyd Bowman, GA; 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Preceded in death by: Half-Brother, Clark Loyd
Memorial services for Mr. Thornton will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Pruitt Funeral Home. The family is at the home.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
