Bonnie Milford Obituary

Mrs. Bonnie Green Milford, age 97 of The Gables Assisted Living Center, Royston, Ga., died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Hartwell Healthcare Center.Born September 24, 1909 in Oakman, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Henry Oscar Green and Kate Jackson Green. She was a graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia where she received her bachelors degree in Home Economics and Biology. She was a retired Hart County educator, a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, the Live Wire Sunday School Class, the Lessie K. Page Circle and the Hart County Retired Teachers Association.She is survived by: daughter, Carolyn M. Wise and her husband Jerry of Hartwell, Ga., grandchildren, Clint McCollum of Hartwell, Ga., and Holly Runyan, Flowery Branch, Ga., great-grandchild, Mary Michael Runyan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Edward Milford and brothers, Rev. H. Oscar Green, Jr., and Rembert A. Green.Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hartwell First United Methodist Church. Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Rev. Jim Winn will officiate. Burial will follow at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Honorary escorts will be the Live Wire Sunday School Class, Lessie Kay Page Circle and Retired Educators.The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday. The family will be at the home of Jerry and Carolyn Wise, 849 Melody Lane, Hartwell, Ga.
