CARL EDWARDS August 6, 1940-November 1, 2007 PELZER - James Carl Edwards, 67, husband of Doris Else Edwards, of 316 Moore's Mill Road, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Greenville County, son of the late Otis Benjamin and Gladys Savannah Bennett Edwards. He was formerly employed by the Winn-Dixie Warehouse. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Karen Roberson of Chapin, Sheila Jenkins of Morgantown, WV; sons, James Alan Edwards of Mauldin, Michael Todd "Mike" Edwards of Williamston; sisters, Patricia Johnson of Greenville, Linda Davis, B. J. Ashley, both of Simpsonville; brother, Larry Edwards of Simpsonville; and four grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Edwards home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, South Carolina Chapter, 802 Savannah Highway, Suite B, Charleston, SC 29407, or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
