JAMES GILLILAND Obituary
IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR SON JAMES "JIMMY" FRANK GILLILAND, IV Dec. 30, 1968 to
Feb. 18, 1989
What a day today could be, if
my Lord reached down
for me,
And He took me home at last to live with Him eternally,
What a joy it would be, to see our son and touch his face,
To realize that this is real and it only happened through
His grace,
Giving life eternally to those who've called upon His name,
Believing He died for our sins and for us He bore the awful
shame,
What a love! It's so hard to comprehend or understand,
But we all will, when He comes and takes us to that
Promised Land.
Jimmy, we keep you on our minds and hearts most of
every day,
We know you're okay because the Lord sent us peace in
an unusual way,
Even though our hearts would rather your presence was
here with us,
We know you're at home in a place that's beyond fabulous,
You'll celebrate your 47th birthday in Heaven probably by
the Crystal Sea,
And we'll remember our son and all our wonderful
memories.
What a day today will be in your home beyond the skies,
A place where tears will never dim the eyes and there'll be
no sad goodbyes.
Jimmy, what a day today is, one we will always remember,
Your birthday on December 30th and the way we all were,
You were such a good little baby boy,
Independent, a mind of your own, and a bundle of joy,
Your childhood was happy and surrounded by friends,
You were a "swim" champion with lots of ribbons and
wins,
We were always very proud of our wonderful son,
Always a hard-worker, not stopping until it was done,
A very active individual, with school and work every
evening till nine,
Respectful to your Mom and Dad no matter what the time.
What a day your birthday was, when you came into our
lives,
And when we meet you again and you're there before our
eyes,
What a day we believe will be real soon,
And we really don't care if it's morning, night or noon,
Thank you Lord for saving all our souls,
Dying on the Cross and on the third day arose,
Without this wonderful Promise, we'd have nothing,
But because of the Gospel, we can rejoice and sing,
His Praises Forever!
We miss you so much!
Love Always,
Dad, Mom and Family
