Anderson, SC
James Rudolph Hicks, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.
Born October 29, 1928, he was a son of the late Lafaye and Mary Gilbert Waters. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ione Chasteen Hicks; sister, Hattie Waters Lance and brothers, Albert and Lewis Waters.
He had worked in retail sales and had been a nursing assistant at Anderson Memorial Hospital. He served his country in the United States Army. James was a member of House of Prayer and loved serving his Savior in ministry and song.
He is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Waters Burdette at Ellenburg Nursing Center.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2018 at House of Prayer with Rev. Jerry Nation and Rev. Mike Harrell. Burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
