James Lloyd Obituary

Mr. James Curlin Lloyd, Jr., age 75, husband of Pamela Sue Bosch Lloyd of Anderson, SC, died Thursday, March 08, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Anderson County, SC on May 23, 1931, Mr. Lloyd was the son of the late James Curlin Lloyd Sr., and Kinnie Lee Campbell Lloyd. He was retired after 34 years from the United States Army serving as 1st Sergeant during the Korean War. He was also retired from the Ohio Edison Company as a utility repairman with 38 years of service. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge # 83 in Akron, Ohio, the Scottish Rite of Ohio, the Ohio Edison Men's Club and the Anderson V.F.W. Post #5996. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Lloyd of the home; sons, James C. Lloyd III and his wife, Valerie and Robert S. Lloyd and his wife, Dotty, all of Anderson; daughter Leigh Ann Danko and her husband, Edward of Copley, Ohio; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters Addie Lee Lowe of Anderson and Linda L. Bannister and her husband, Moe of Belton, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Walter Lloyd and a sister, Vera E. Parsons. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by Masonic Rites. The Funeral Service will be held at Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, Ohio with interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron, Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com. THE MCDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
