Joan Frances (Jenne) Vandermar, age 83, of 123 Glen Arbor Drive, Anderson, SC passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was loved very much and will be missed.
Born February 26th, 1934 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances Jenne. She was united in marriage to Raymond Vandermar on April 14th, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 8th, 2010. They were married for 53 wonderful years.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and is survived by her sons: Scott (Rosalba) of Alexandria, VA, Kenneth (Linh) of San Diego, CA, daughters: Catherine and Janet, of Anderson, SC, 4 grandchildren: Michelle, Michael, Tai and Quynh, 1 sister: Linda Brand of Brandon, FL, 1 niece: Linda and 3 nephews: Tim, Steven and David.
She loved flowers and gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles and reading murder/suspense novels. She made many Swedish Weaving afghans for family and friends and they are cherished by everyone. She also loved the many fur babies she had over the years and her beloved Schnauzer, Emma, was by her side till the end.
In keeping with her wishes, no funeral services are planned.
