Maxie Earl Campbell, 70, husband of Shirley Price Campbell, of 500 Taylor Road, died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his home.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late James Lewis and Olivia Smith Campbell. He was a member of Broadmouth Baptist Church, and was retired from both Torrington and Gus's Home Center.

In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. Campbell is survived by one son: Trampus Campbell (Janet) of Due West; one daughter: Earline Davis (Terry) of Donalds; two brothers: Jim and Edward Campbell; one sister: Sue Brock; eight grandchildren: Amanda Hamby (Nathan), Jonathon Davis (Kayla), Haley Bone, Nicole Bosko (Bobby), Amy Bone, Samantha Beauford (John Robert), Brooke Campbell, and Te Campbell.

He is preceded in death by one son: Charles Barron Campbell; two brothers: Joe and Clyde Campbell; and five sisters: Grace Brock, Janie Campbell, Cynthia Fleming, Sarah Alewine, and Eva Mae Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, December 11, at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Inspirations Sunday School Class at Broadmouth Baptist Church, 543 Broadmouth Church Rd., Honea Path, SC 29654.
