Michael T. Bowman, 62, died at his home this past week.
He was born in April 1954 in Greensboro, NC, graduated from Smith High School and attended UNCG before training to be an electrician, working up and down the East Coast and as far away as Pakistan as an electrician. Mike loved anything with motors and wheels, especially his pickup trucks, motorcycles and car magazines. He loved to work with his hands and was always making something out of wood to grace his surroundings. His home and yard were his beloved world, and he knew the type and name of every tree or bush that lived there. Even though he turned away from his talent, he was a natural musician who could pick up an instrument and play any tune by ear. He has left a large hole in our lives.
Mike is survived by daughter, Melissa Lewellen and her husband, Lindsay, of Charlotte; granddaughters, Carter, Murphy, and Wright; grandson, Hatch; brothers, Rocky Bowman of Piedmont and Jim Bowman (Lynne) of Greensboro, NC; sister, Holley Care (Terry) of Camp Hill, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
The family asks that memorials be made to local Garden Clubs or 4-H Clubs in the area.

We did not know Mike but we know he was a uniquely
original person as he is the father of our loving, faith-filled daughter-in-law and the grandfather of our incredible grandchildren.
Thankful for his life and the rich fruit it has borne.
God's blessings on family, and peace upon all.
