Ronald Seigler

Seneca, SC

Ronald Stephen Seigler, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Cottingham Hospice of Seneca.

Born in Anderson, SC on March 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Neal P. Seigler and the late Nora Fisher Seigler. He was a graduate of Auburn University and proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years after high school and transferred into the Marine Reserves for another four years. Ronald retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 25 years and started his own business in Seneca, SC, Grand Rental Station, until his retirement in 2013.

He is survived by his children, Stephen Seigler and his wife Lesa, of Seneca, SC, Donna Lynn Lawson and her husband Steve, of Anderson, SC, Shannon Seigler, of Fountain Inn, SC, and Yonna Lugina Seigler, of Westminster, SC; a step-son, Mark Blackston and his wife Michelle, of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, Neal Parker Seigler, Jr. and his wife Joyce, of St. Simon Island, GA; a sister, B. Sheila Dye and her husband Tommy, of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and his girlfriend: JoAnne Anderson.

Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Maddox Seigler and his second wife, Sherrill Blume Seigler.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Pastor John McKnight officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation after the service.
