James Graham Obituary

KANNAPOLIS - James Harris Graham, 77, of 1418 Oakwood Ave., Kannapolis, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast. He was the son of the late Plummer W. Graham and the late Susie Spradley Graham. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Diane Graham and Katherine Denise Graham; a granddaughter, Courtney Graham; and a brother, Warren Graham. His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sam Crisp. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service. He was retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon Inc., where he was a supervisor in the distribution center. He was a member of Kannapolis West A Street Church of God. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He loved to fish and raise a garden. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Rodgers Graham; his son, Darrell Graham and wife, Taffy, of Concord; his daughter, Cindy Triece and husband, Doug, of Kannapolis; his stepchildren, Roger Myers and wife, Debbie, of Concord, Kimberly Bostian of Concord, and Rhonda Coley and husband, Howard, of Gold Hill; his brother, Bill Graham and wife, Anne, of Troutman; his three sisters, Ruth Lipster of Rock Hill, S.C., Jeanie Galyan of Concord and Lois Overcash of Concord; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Kannapolis West A Street Church of God, 2211 W. A St., Kannapolis, NC 28081. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
