Molly Hilton Obituary

MOUNT GILEAD - Following a courageous battle with cancer, Molly entered the gates of Heaven on June 21, 2006 at her home. Molly Johnson Hilton, 69, a resident of 1270 Stanback Road was born on April 19, 1937 in Davidson County to Charles H. and Lucille Cecil Johnson. She had resided in Mount Gilead for the past 10 years moving from Huntersville. She was a graduate of Ashmore Business College and was retired from PACE Incorporated in 1990. She was a member of Hamer Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed her hobby of traveling and particularly loved to attend TOPS Conventions. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Johnson. In August of 1968 she married Bobby R. Hilton who survives of the home. Also surviving are a sister in law, Betty Johnson of Concord, brother-in-law, Lewis J. Hilton, Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Rock Hill, S.C.; niece, Cecile Overcash and husband, Kirk, of Harrisburg, nephew, Charles R. Johnson Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Concord, great nieces, Kristin Overcash and Maggie Johnson; great-nephews, Dustin Overcash and Wesley Johnson. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Alex C. Willoughby, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be directed to either Hamer Creek Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Box 33B, Mount Gilead, NC 27306 or to Community Hospice, 120 N. Main Street, Troy, NC 27371 in Molly's memory. The family would also like to give their special thanks and appreciation to Betty Wilson and to Mary Simmons for the loving care that they gave Molly during her illness.
