Richard B.wilson Obituary

Richard "Rick" B. Wilson left to be with our Lord on Feb. 24, 2008. Rick was born in Orange County, Calif., on July 6, 1959, and moved to Concord in May, 1999. He was employed by Frye's Roller Rink for several years, where he made many good friends. At the time of his death, he was employed at Kmart Supercenter, a job he loved and where he met many friends that he considered family. Rick was loved by all. He was a devoted, single father to three children, Megan R. Wilson, Brittany R. Wilson and R.J. Wilson, as well as a brother, uncle and good friend to many. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Frank T. and Dorothy R. Wilson. He is survived by his children, Megan, Brittany and R.J.; as well as his brother, John T. Wilson of Kannapolis; sisters, Dolly Wilson and Susan Wages of Concord and their husbands, Andrew Pittman and Terry Wages, his best friend and gardening partner. He was also survived by his niece, Kaitlyn Reisinger; and nephews, James Wages, Dillon and Derek Reisinger, Jarad Kellis, Kelly Kellis and wife, Patty Kellis, and family. He leaves behind good friends and relatives in California and his well loved co-workers and friends at Frye's and Kmart. Rick was a gentle, loving man who would do anything for anyone. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working in the garden. He will be missed by all. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Graveside rites will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 2 p.m. at West Concord Cemetery in Concord. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord will be serving the Wilson family. Online condolences may be made at www.hartsellfh.com
