Bertha Olszewski Obituary

Bertha Cora Olszewski, 81, of Montrose, passed away, Friday, February 1, 2013, at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose. Her husband Leonard Olszewski predeceased her.

Born April 27, 1931 in South Montrose, she was the daughter of the late William Dana and Edith Warner Wood.

She assisted her husband on their farm and was employed by the former Hirsch Farm Supplies in New Milford.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Gary Lyon of Hallstead; son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Cat Olszewski of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Jamie and Erika Olszewski, Tabitha Olszewski and William C. Choplosky Jr, Levi Lyon, Sam Lyon, Amos Lyon, Isaiah Olszewski, Elijah Olszewski; sisters, Jean Blaisure, Jane Kintner; sister-in-law, Patricia Wood; many nieces and nephews.

Her brothers, Earl, Herbert and Leo Wood predeceased her.

Services will be held today, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: WPEL Radio, P.O Box 248, Montrose, PA 18801; or Child Evangelism Fellowship Of Susquehanna County, 5 Chestnut Street, Montrose, PA 18801.
