Huberta "Bert" Petty

1919 - 2008

Huberta P. Petty, 89, South Montrose, Pa., passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, Pa.
Born August 30, 1919 in Montrose, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Slaughter) Reid.
She was retired from Bendix Corporation.
She was a member of South Montrose Community Church and the American Legion Auxillary, Gardner-Warner Post No. 154, Elk Lake.
Survivors include daughters and significant others, Margaret Jackson and Bob McCloud of Raleigh, N.C., Josephine Newhart and Gary D. Wood, Elk Lake; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale R. and Helen Petty, Canton, Pa., Joseph and Sue Petty, Elk Lake, David W. and Susan Petty, Elk Lake; companion, Keith Ross, South Montrose; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Reid, South Montrose.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Services were held September 8, 2008, at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose. Visitation was held September 7, 2008, at the funeral home.
