Camilla Marchi Obituary
A graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College, Mrs. Marchi earned her Associate Degree in Nursing and dedicated her career to the field of hospice care retiring after many years of service with Hospice Care of the Piedmont. She was one of the original founders of the Hospice House, an establishment that has provided compassionate care and comfort to many in their time of need. Mrs. Marchi was also a passionate artist and a member of the Abbeville Artist Guild, where she shared her creativity and love for painting with fellow artists. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Ayers.
Mrs. Marchi is survived by her children, Chris Marchi (Teresa) of Easley, Leslie Marchi Monroe (Darrell) of Greenwood and Michelle Marchi Terry (Danny) of Anderson; sister, Patsy Horton of Hiawassee, GA; six grandchildren, Andrew Marchi, Evans (Theresa) Marchi, Deanne Kelly (Glenn), Heather Terry, Jackson Monroe and Caroline Monroe; and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Maggie.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Marchi's life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Main Street Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Marchi, may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care, (Hospice House) of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
The family is at the respective homes.
