Concetta "Connie" Marchi

Concetta "Connie" Marchi, 93, of Wallingford, loving wife of John Marchi for 71 years, passed away peacefully, March 4, 2025, at Regency House in Wallingford.
Connie was born in Mileto di Comparni, Italy on Oct. 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Arena) Calabrese. She emigrated from Italy in 1937 at the young age of 5. She attended Wallingford schools graduating from Lyman Hall Class of 1950 with high honors.
After graduation Connie worked for Cable Wave Systems and Wallace Silversmiths before leaving the outside workforce to raise her six children. She returned to work part-time as a medical office administrator before retiring.
Connie was a self-taught photographer and life-long learner. She attended numerous photography seminars and workshops. She received many first and special place awards for her photography.
In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her six children, Deborah Hanchuruck (Michael), David Marchi (Jim Finnegan), Donna Bellody (William), Doreen Donath (Robert), Drew Marchi (Nancy) and Daryn Marchi (Frank Guasp); her daughter-in-law, Brenda Marchi; 13, grandchildren and their spouses; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Domenica Galati, Fortunata Riso, Joseph Calabrese, Michael Calabrese, and Mary Hudon.
Connie's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Her funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford immediately following the service.
