Darren Leopard Obituary

James Darren Leopard, 58, a beloved father, son, brother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born on June 23, 1966, in Greenwood, he was a son of Melba Ann Berry Leopard Morgan and the late James Henry Leopard. Darren spent much of his life in Ninety Six, where he became known for his skills as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was not only a dedicated hard worker but also a compassionate soul who always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity and thoughtfulness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. An avid outdoorsman, Darren enjoyed riding on his golf cart, water tubing, sitting around bonfires and hunting. He had a special way of bringing friends and family together over a grill, creating lasting memories through laughter and love. True to his giving nature, Darren was an organ donor, offering hope and life to others.

He survived by his sons, Ty Leopard (Brittney), Hobie Leopard (Amy), Chip Leopard, Johnathon Leopard (Kiayah), JD Leopard and Dillon Tallent (Emma); his mother and stepfather, Melba and William "Bill" Morgan; siblings, Jamie McDowell (Wayne), Bennie Leopard (Julie), Tracy Rodgers (Danny), Bobby Leopard (Brittany), Billy Leopard (Sarah) and Robin Hepler; grandchildren, Easton "Hayes", Corbin, Jayden, Tanner, Austin, Emory, Avery, Gavin, Brantley, Axel and Hudson; and great grandson, Clinton.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday at Beacon of Hope with the Rev. Earl Kelly and Rev. Jacob Workman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
