Felda Shaw Abbott

Felda Shaw Abbott of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on February 03, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born 0n 4/19/1932 in Greenwood S.C. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a great lover of the arts, music and dance. She taught both ballroom and square dancing, but after working years in the business world, she found her true calling was nursing. She retired from Wellstar Cobb after 23 years as an L.P.N. and her greatest joy was her time working in Pediatrics. Although her later years were homebound, she never lost her love of life, family and God. We know now that she is in the loving hands of our Lord. Mrs. Abbott is survived by her only child, Tommy Abbott and his wife Vickie, her two grandsons; Phillip Abbott and Matthew Abbott and his wife Heather, and her three great-grandchildren; Caleb, Harper, and Killian. Mrs. Abbott is proceeded in death by her husband Rudy Abbott. The viewing will be held on February 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 at the Powder Springs Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins. Funeral Services for Mrs. Abbott will be held at the Macland Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Rev. J.R. McAliley III Officiating. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens
