I'm so upset to hear the news. I found out of his passing by accident. He sent me an email letting me know of his condition, but I realized I still had the Get Well care package in my Amazon cart and it had not been sent since I needed to locate his street number. When I googled his address I found this obit. I am very sorry I wasn't able to say good bye again before his passing. Henry was a great man, I very much enjoyed our conversations. I'll always remember his love for Clemson and golf and our shared views of politics. My deepest sympathy for Hank and the rest of the family.

Dear Lynn and Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father, Henry Milam. Though we did not have the privilege of knowing him personally, it is evident from his obituary that he was a remarkable man who lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to his country.
May you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared together and in the love and support of your family and friends during this difficult time. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
With heartfelt condolences,

I'll really miss Henry Milam. He stands out in memories of his keen mind, his robust sense of humor, his well conceived thoughts forcefully expressed, his enduring love for the South Carolina of his youth and his Alma Mater, Clemson. It was marvelous to watch Henry deploy his recon helicopter prowess as he maneuvered his golf cart looking for lost golf balls. Henry always beamed with pleasure as he bestowed bags of found balls to friends at the start of rounds. He was a man you enjoyed being with, someone you looked forward to seeing again, one whose memory will always bring a smile.
