Neal Hamm Obituary
Albert Neal Hamm, 89, resident of Ninety Six, husband of Hazel Ross Hamm, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born January 30, 1936, in Iva, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas Marvin Hamm and Louise Belcher Hamm. A graduate of Iva High School, Mr. Hamm served his country in the United States Army and later retired from Monsanto after more than 35 years of dedicated service.
He was a current member of Coronaca Baptist Church and a former member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Iva, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and deacon. Mr. Hamm was a loving kind husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dedicated Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel, of the home; daughter, Tammy Allison (Rob) of Ninety Six, Son, Mark (Polly) of Ninety Six, and daughter, Lisa Schwelling (Eric) of Greer; eight grandchildren, Heather Gardner (Ronnie), Kristen Gibert (Wayne), Tyler Allison, Maegan Gasque (Alan), Maggie Bonczek (Dylan), Matthew Hamm (Zoe), Ali Schwelling, and Eli Schwelling; and six great-grandchildren, Hudson, Grayson, Ellison, Logan, Braylin, and Ellis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Barden.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Polatty officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Ninety Six.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Gibert, Ronnie Gardner, Tyler Allison, Hudson Gibert, Eli Schwelling, Matthew Hamm, Alan Gasque, and Dylan Bonczek. Honorary escort will be members of the Light Bearer's Sunday School Class and Terry "Bird" Shirley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29649 or to Coronaca Baptist Church, 300 Highway 246 N, Greenwood, SC 29649.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Tammy Allison.
