Rebecca Bryson Obituary

Rebecca Lynn Chapman Bryson, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 21st, 2025, at the Solace Center of Asheville.

A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Weaver Clifton Chapman and Fay Ruby Bagwell Chapman, and wife of the late Fred Clifton Bryson who passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Chapman Bryson.

Rebecca retired from the Greenwood County Public Library following more than 20 years of service. She was a avid reader and enjoyed tatting and creating beautiful lace to share with her family. She also enjoyed playing Bridge with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Bryson Krucke; granddaughter, Lauren Weaver Krucke; brother, Bill Chapman and wife Jeannie; and her beloved kittens, Smokey and Bandit.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
