Teresa Goodwin Obituary
Born June 25, 1947, in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Pauline Riddle Goree. She was a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School and was retired from the Greenwood Main Branch of Bank of America after 47 years of service.
A member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church she was also a longtime choir member and pianist of the church. Mrs. Goodwin was an avid bowler for many years.
Surviving are a son, John Thomas Sanders; a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Sanders; a brother, Tommy Goree, all of Bradley; three grandsons, Jonathan Eric Sanders and wife Amanda of Greenwood, Austin Taylor Davis and Tanner McCade Sanders, both of Bradley; four great grandchildren, Cameron Lee Sanders, Weston Leo Sanders, Brantley Keegan Davis and Kaydence Nicole Davis; a step son, Jason and wife Kim Goodwin; a step daughter, Jodi and husband Derek Zook, all of Yorkville, IL; five step grandchildren, Andrew Zook, Luke Zook, Joe Zook, Jesse Goodwin and Jake Goodwin; and her beloved pets, Pooh and Casper.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Peppers Wray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Gardner, Jimmy Corley, Clifton Eakin, Earl Wrenn, O'Neal Yeargin, Gus Catarius, Brandon Reed and Harry Metts.
The family will be at her home on Damascus Church Road and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 4 to 6 Saturday afternoon.
The body is at the funeral home and will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm Sunday.
