Adam Dougherty Obituary

Adam William Dougherty Of Avon, stepped into eternity on Thursday, May 18th suddenly at the age of 24. He was born on October 7, 1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William and Katrina Dougherty. He was a member of Bread of Life Ministries in Avon, Indiana where he also led worship. He married the love of his life, Alexandra Breinlich on December 15, 2005. Adam graduated from the IU School of Informatics in 2005. He worked for Schmidt and Associates as a graphic designer. Adam shared his passion for Jesus Christ, and the lost and broken, through writing worship songs that expressed the heart of Jesus towards His people. He lived his life of faith in all that he did. His million dollar smile was always on his face, and that's how he will be remembered. He lived a life of victory in the midst of a battle. He loved his wife, Alexandra, and the last two years of his life brought him much happiness. He loved his family and friends and considered Bread of Life Ministries as his extended family. Adam is survived by his wife and best friend, Alexandra; his parents, William and Katrina Dougherty; sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Aaron Tague; nephews, Asher and Eden Tague; grandmother, Bobbie Dougherty; grandfather, Norman Keith (Pat); aunts, Pamela (Rick) Pearson and Stephanie (Dave) Hubele. He also had many cousins that he loved. Adam is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Keith. Please join us for a celebration of Adam's life, which was well lived, at Bread of Life Ministries in Avon, Indiana. Calling will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held the following day, Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Bread of Life Ministries with burial following at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Come share with us the legacy of love which he leaves. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bread Of Life Ministries, co Alexandra Dougherty. Arrangements by Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel.
