Alma Sample Obituary

Alma Sample

Passed away on January 28, 2013 in Indianapolis. She was the widow of Donald E. Sample and a longtime resident of Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Sample was born August 11, 1928 in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee and moved to Indianapolis with her family as a teenager. Mrs. Sample married Donald Sample on September 19, 1955. Afterwards, she and her husband moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as a domestic. They created a loving home and remained married for 53 years until his death in 2008. Mrs. Sample was a member of Crenshaw United Methodist Church of Los Angeles where she was an active member.

On Saturday, February 2, there will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Stuart Mortuary Chapel . Interment will be at Floral Park Cemetery.

Survivors include nephews, Derek-Gerome Pullins and Dennis Pullins; cousins, Birdia M. (Gene Raymond) Pullins, David (Roxann) W. Jackson and Sharon (Jerome) Harrington; brother-in-law, Riley Sample and a host of family and friends.
