Alp Berker Obituary
48, of Carmel, passed away on September 16, 2015. Alp was born in Quebec on October 1, 1966. He held a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Indianapolis. Alp was a Systems Analyst most recently for IUPUI and prior for the Defense Finance and Accounting Services.
Alp was District Vice President of the American Turkish Association and served various roles including President, Vice President, and Secretary for the American Turkish Association of Indiana.
A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Alhuda Mosque, 12201 Lantern Road, Fishers. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Alp is survived by his wife, Daniele; twin daughters, Ajda and Yasemin and son, Ziya; parents, Hayat M. and Bedii S. Berker; brother, Celal (wife, Fatma) Berker; sister, Hande (husband, Conrad) Ballwig; niece, Melek Berker; nephews, Kenan and Yusuf Berker. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for the Berker children or the American Turkish Association. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel.
