Amelia "Mely" Dooley

Indianapolis - Amelia "Mely" Lafuente Dooley passed away on December 20, 2020 at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mely was a loving wife to David Dooley and mother to Marissa and Justin. She was born to Sofrono Lafuente and Aurora Ricohermoso Lafuente in Pola, Philippines. Mely migrated to New York in 1984 where she met David Dooley. They married in 1986 and had two children, Marissa and Justin. David and Mely moved to Clermont in 2012. She worked with special needs students at Wayne Township schools starting in 2013 then moved to Robey Elementary from 2014 to 2016. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and family, and serving at Chapel Rock where she was an active member. Mely was always known for her friendly smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 10:30am - 12noon at Chapel Rock Christian Church. A funeral service will be held immediately after at 12noon, also at the church.
