Bradford James Melser

58, of Fortville, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. He was born on July 18, 1958 to Dr. Ronald G. and Elizabeth (Rinke) Melser in Beaufort, South Carolina. His mother preceded him in death.

Brad earned his dental technology degree from IU Fort Wayne, and was the owner of Melseramics Dental Lab. He loved sports, especially Notre Dame and Colts football, and enjoyed watching his son play football. Spending time with his family and friends was one of the things he enjoyed most.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Dr. Nancy (Armstrong) Melser; son, Tyler James Melser; siblings, Margaret (Jack) O'Rourke, Todd (Joan) Melser and Jeff (Kathy) Melser; mother-in-law, Joan Armstrong; brother-in-law, Bruce (Susan) Armstrong; nine nieces & nephews; and five (almost 6) great-nieces & nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Norma Melser; his father-in-law, Bill Armstrong; and his grandparents.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Ron Eskew officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the funeral home, with an additional visitation time beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278; or contributions for Tyler's educational expenses may be sent to: Melser Family Trust, at First Merchants Bank, 11521 Olio Rd, Fishers, IN 46037, c/o Gay Rude.
