Danny Vaughn Abney
63, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on October 8, 2014. Danny was born on January 24, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana. A graduate of GWHS in 1968. Danny worked for Greatbatch Medical (Carr-Medical Products) 31 plus years. Danny was preceded in death by father, Pete Abney. He is survived by wife, Ruth (Freije) Abney; son, Jeremy Abney; sister, Janet (Ted) Abney Gibson; mother, Edith Branham Abney and uncle to Jennifer, Stephanie and Megan. Calling will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel , 481 W. Main Street. Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Greenwood, 335 S. Meridian Street, Greenwood, IN 46143. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to HLH Foundation. Ruth, I just learned of your husbands passing only last week from Gwen, and I am so very esorry. You and Jeremy are in my thoughts and prayers especially during this holiday season. Also, I believe she said you lost your mother since Anna. That is alot. I pray that you stay lifted in prayer. Lastly, I never thanked you for being the best friend in Anna's life.
