David Thompson Obituary
DeLand, FL - David Lee Thompson, 67, of DeLand, Florida passed peacefully at his home on September 5, 2020. He was born February 6, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Anne Louise Mueller Thompson and John W. Thompson. He was a 1971 graduate of Chatard High School. He was a graduate from Rollins College, Florida.
He worked as a respiratory therapist for over 45 years. David worked at Community Hospital, the I. U. Med. Center and Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. He worked at Florida Hospital South, Bert Fish Hospital and retired from Advent Health DeLand. David formed and actively participated in the Central Florida COPD support groups. He was known for his interesting wellness presentations on COPD throughout Florida.
David is survived by his wife MaryAnn Coridan Thompson, his brother John W. Thompson Jr (Karin) and his sister Cheryl Striewe (John). Also, his stepsons, Jon Pulley (Cathy) and Jacob Pulley (Stacy), grandsons Aaron Pulley and Keegan Pulley, loving nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. There will be no services at this time, but you may make a contribution in his name to your favorite charity. Alavon Direct Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
