James Bryan Obituary

James A. Bryan 81, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday morning September 28, 2007, while staying with his son in Encinitas, CA. James was born May 16, 1926, in Douglasville, GA, the son of the late William Jennings and Lillian (DeBerry) Bryan. James served over 40 years in the US Navy and Civil Service. Upon retiring he worked for the Frenzel family of Indianapolis. Survivors include his sister, Inez (Lamar) Williams of Columbus, GA; sons, Robert (Camille) Bryan of Encinitas, CA; John (Vicki) Bryan of Indianapolis; and Andrew Bryan of Indianapolis; daughters, Teresa Bryan of Venice, FL and Carolyn (Neil) Smith of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Snyder) Bryan; sons, Stephan and Thomas Bryan and daughter, Ruthanne Shublak. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 4th, at 1pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5692 Central Ave., Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Benedict, Our Lady of Grace Monastery, Beech Grove, IN. Burial will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery & Mausoleum, Indianapolis. Arrangements by Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th St., Indianapolis.
