I am so saddened to hear this news. Dr. Pfister was more than just my favorite professor at Chattahoochee Tech.. he stepped outside of the professor/student box and was there for me as a friend when I recieved a devastating phone call as I was leaving class one evening last year. That semester was very hard for me and he did everything he could to see that I was able to survive the semester. I'll never forget his kind words of encouragement or his cheezy jokes or the swift kicks in the tail when I was ready to throw my hands up and drop out. He renewed my faith in myself and gave me the inspiration I needed to forge ahead in my medical career. To his family: he spoke of you often and fondly. I cannot imagine the void his passing has left in your lives. My thoughts and prayers will be with each of you in the coming months. I pray that you are blessed with someone that brings as much support, surprise laughter, and kindness that he unthinkingly gave to me when I had lost a dear loved one myself. God bless you all.

When Jim was hired at CTC (then North Metro Tech), I was 1 of the first people he met. We instantly connected because I was born and raised in Ind. Even after I transferred to a different dept., he would always greet me with a big smile and a warm hug whenever we passed each other in the halls. I was truly saddened to learn of his passing. He will definitely be missed not only be the faculty and staff at CTC, but also all his students.

Dr. Pfister was one of my favorite professors at Chattahoochee Technical College. I'm so saddened to hear this. He always asked me how my husband was doing even though he never met him. He was such a sweet man. I'm honored to have been one of his students. His family and beloved children he always talked about are in my prayers. Take comfort in knowing how many lives he blessed throughout the years.

Hey Doc, Your firm handshake, smile and genuine concern for others could brighten any day. The thought of not having you drop by my office to chat is unbearable. You touched the lives of everyone you met. The world is a better place and I am a better person for having known you.

I am so sad to hear this news. He was such a nice man! I had him last semester for anatomy and ended up dropping the class, but made sure i had him again this semester. He was so funny, caring and enjoyed teaching his students. Every tuesday I would pass him in the hall way and he would ask "hows it going? , how do you think you did on the test?" I will miss his warm smile. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss. It can be very difficult and I am praying for you at this time.
