Jeannette Hignight Obituary

Jeannette Lynn Hignight 55, died Sunday May 30, 2010 in Greenwood. She was a resident of Greenwood. Jeannette was born in Indianapolis to the late Russell R. Sr. and Mabel J. (Hook) Hignight on Sept 30, 1954. She was an Indianapolis Police Officer, retiring after 21 years of service. She presently was employed as a security officer for the U.S. Marshalls office at the Federal Court House. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and horseback riding, gardening and decorating her home. Jeannette loved her family and animals and spending time with them. Survivors include her son, Hunter Hignight of Greenwood; three brothers, Russell Hignight of McCordsville, Richard Hignite of Greenwood, and Dennis Hignite of Florida. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. Hwy 31 North. Friends and family may call from Noon until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hunter Hignight Trust in care of Chase Bank, attn: Chad Baldwin, 565 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN. 46143, or FACE, 1505 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis, IN. 46201.
