Joseph Clemens Obituary

Joseph J. Clemens

84, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday November 20, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital South. He was born May 4, 1928 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Joseph and Stella Clemens. Joseph worked for Marhoeffer Packing Co. for 25 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the past president of El Dorado Country Club and enjoyed golf and many social activities.

Survivors are sons, Mark Clemens (Twig) and Mike Clemens (Pam); a daughter, Charyl Folds - Gabbard (Jeff); a brother, Robert Clemens (Barb); grandchildren, Abby and Ali Clemens, Matt and Sarah Clemens, Shelby Holman, Whitney Monroe, and Alexis Gabbard. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Dawn Clemens and a brother, Frank Clemens.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday November 23, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Friday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Francis Hospice.
