Karla Raines Obituary

Karla Kay Raines 47, Indianapolis, passed away on July 15, 2009. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 20, 1962 to Carole Anne Kountz and Maurice Charles Hood. They preceded her in death. Karla was very proud of her American Indian Heritage and loved being involved with ceremonial traditions, and collecting American Indian antiques and mementos. Karla was an Air Force veteran, and a member of St. Simon's and St. Barnabas parishes. She is survived by her beloved sons, Joshua D. Bellamy, 22 and James Raines II, 12. Karla will be missed! Karla is also survived by her five sisters, Kathy Darnell, Karen Whittemore, Kristy Burklow, Karol-Lisa Perez, Kelly Vale, and a brother, Karl David Hood. A Celebration of Life service will be held outdoors, location to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to The Lupus Foundation. Alpha Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
