Dick was a good big brother who looked out for us all, especially the girls. He was fun to talk to & tell us younger kids stories of our parents & things that happened on the job site. Some were funny, some not so good. Dick would try not to let things get him down when things did go wrong in his life his favorite words were "THAT SUCKS" and do what he had to do. Dick worked with our Father-Eugene & Uncle Jim for many years at Brightwood Septic Tank & Sewer Co. He worked side by side with our other brother Terry, and brother-in-laws Gary Brock & Phillip Mann, along with some other hard working men through the years. Dick also worked at Chrysler & other plumbing companies over the years, he was always a hard worker like our father taught all of us. Dick had many loves in his life but his first one & most important was his family parents, siblings, children & grandchildren. Which he talked about to everyone. Dick boxed in his younger years winning Golden Gloves Middleweight in 1963 & was runner up in Heavyweight 1965 & 1966, Dick & his family were very proud of that. Dick loved his jewelry, leather jackets and leather clothes and & of course his motorcycle. Boy did he look good wearing them too. (Our mothers nick name for Dick was "Mr. T" for many years) Dick didn't mind he liked it. He was a good looking man who never had any problems getting the women. Dick also enjoyed playing pool & darts. Where he had met many good life time friends, & was given the nick name Dickie Doo. Darts was his main enjoyment & he was one of the best ever from Indiana he won trophies, certificates, awards, patches, trips, & lots of money. Dick was well respected in the dart world, he really enjoyed playing & seeing his friends the money was a bonus for him. Dick was a good man with a big heart who would do what ever he could for his family and friends. He fought a hard battle for a long time and did it with degnity and grace never losing his independency or asking for much from anyone.
Dick you have and will always have a special place in my heart. I will Love and Miss you every day. I know you will always be by my side & in my heart. Everyone Dick cared about now has a special angel watching over them. Bye for now until we meet again. RIP along with our parents, Terry, Vicki, and Lou Ann. Give them Love and hugs from us.
Love always one of your little sisters Fran XOXO
