Our Grandpa:
He wasn't just a great man.
He was my Grandpa.
He taught me to work hard,
And to stand tall.
I saw him as a role model,
and a man to be.
My grandpa, Robert James Neidlinger,
Is a real man to me.
And I hope one day,
I can come close to compare.
The thought that he's gone,
Is hard to bare.
A man so great,
Full of love and care.
Whether he's your husband, Dad, or Grandpa
He was a gift to share.
Whatever we needed
He was always there.
Now he's gone,
But not in our hearts,
He will be forever missed,
But always,
Have a spot in our hearts!
"We love you Grandpa".

I enjoyed meeting and talking with your father the few times we were together. He certainly did love his family.
Be sure to keep your mom close, but don't smother. She is going to need to see her grandchildren. At least they seemed to help Les' and my dad after our mothers passed.
Most of all remember the fact that not many people have had the blessing of their father being in their lives this long. It is one we share and it really helps when you start to grieve. They were ready to let go and could not be healed, all we could do was hold them and love them. To be in paradise now is no comparison. I envy them.

I will always love you grandpa. I will remember you most during the game of Euchre, the game of Golf, and the game of Bowling. O and I will remember how angry you always got when someone trumped over your ace...lol I also will remember how much of a hard worker you were even after retirement on all the tinks and things you worked on. I also will always remember your smile. I am so glad you got to live such a long life and do great things. I can only hope I am that lucky. Your Grand-daughter Heather L. Wallace
