Robert Glen Oswalt
26, Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014. He was born in Indianapolis on May 28, 1988. Robert was a 2006 graduate of Beech Grove High School where he was class Salutatorian. He graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2010 and was currently in his 4th year of studies at the IU School of Medicine. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Robert is survived by his parents, Jay E. and Marsha Ann Wade Oswalt; his wife, Kilah Banschbach Oswalt; sister, Michelle Mascus (Jon); niece, Madison Mascus; and his grandmother, Margaret Wade. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home with funeral services being held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Marfan Foundation at marfan.org. Robert was a shining star in the first class I taught at the University of Southern Indiana. Later, I wrote letters of recommendation for him as he applied to medical school. I am saddened and wish to express my sincere condolences to his family - great guy!
