Rev. Sherman D. Allen, Sr.
91, founder and former pastor of Light of the World Missionary Baptist Church, passed away on May 28, 2014. He retired from Kraft Foods Co. He is survived by his daughter, Hazel Allen; sons, Rev. James D. Allen, Sr. and Sherman D. Allen, Jr. of Clarksville, TN. Public viewing will be on Friday, June 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in First Baptist Church North Indianapolis, 880 W. 28th Street. Services will be on Saturday, June 14 at Noon, with viewing two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Boatright Family Services .
