To all of Steve's loved ones...Steve & I started seeing one another about 2 1/2 years ago. We became great friends going out to dinner & visiting with my family & Lisa's family on Thanksgiving.
We shared many Z'ville memories as I grew up there & lived there until I was 36 when we moved to Az.
I will miss our talks.
He was truly a great gentlemen. I saw him 2 days before he died & his spirit was still there.
Rest in Peace

In loving memory Steve Harris,
In the past 10 years it has been my honor, privilege and pleasure to have known you. Over the years there were many things I learned and loved about you. First and formost you were a person of your word, a very good man, a loving father and a loyal friend to many. I also learned that you could be rough and tough when necessary, yet a kind, gentle and compassionate man, all rolled into one. I will miss you terribly, but what I will miss most of all is your wonderful sense of humor. I just want you to know that you made such a difference in my life. You were to me in my lifetime my John Wayne. You will live on in our hearts and memories always and forever,
With much Love.

To Steve's Family and Many Friends:
You all knew Steve's quiet, persuasive powers. I'll never forget a phone call I received from him a few weeks before one of our class reunions years after I had not seen him for many years:
"Hi, Vicki. This is Steve. You're coming, right?"
"What?"
"To the Class Reunion. Did you forget?"
"Oh. No. Of course not. I"ll be there."
His Class of "62" meant the world to him, and he to us.
Hope you are comforted by everything he was to so many people. -Vicki Chulock

To Steve's family, I only got to know Steve for one year, our senior year at Pike. He was always a kind, funny, nice guy. I will always remember your spiked flat top that I marveled at how you could do that:) You were a wonderful contribution to our class and will be remembered fondly.
God Bless your beautiful family.

Sinatra's song "I Did It My Way" jumps to mind. Steve's life was so full of people places and things that he enjoyed to the "max" full throttle. He will be so very deeply missed.
