Thomas E. Husselman

- - Thomas E. Husselman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 17, 2018. He was born on April 13, 1930 in Connersville, Indiana to Eugene B. and Ollien Husselman.

Upon graduating from Connersville High School, he spent two years attending Miami University, Oxford Ohio. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the beginning of the Korean War and served proudly until his honorable discharge as Second Lieutenant in 1953. He completed his education at Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor's degree from the School of Business in 1955.

Tom married Marilee Geisler on January 17, 1959 and they were blessed with 2 children, 4 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

In 1965, he formed Matco Inc., a sales representative agency, where he played a key role in the supply of components to the Automotive and Orthopaedic Industries. He was joined by his son Brian who partnered with him until his retirement in 1997.

During his life, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. He was a voracious reader and a student of Civil War history. He became active in his college fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, serving as Foundation President for two years.

He is survived by his wife, Marilee; daughter Cassie (Rick) Bluestein; son Brian (Julie) Husselman; grandchildren Sophie (Ryan) Plappert, Grant, Joel and Brooke; great granddaughter Molly. Tom is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Ollien Husselman.

The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to Jennifer Jackson, Angela Goodlow and JJ's staff for their kind and loving care of Tom during his time of need.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St. in Zionsville, IN at 11AM. Calling will begin at 9:30AM
