Wilbur Stein

Wilbur L. Stein age 82, Indianapolis, died June 12, 2007 at St. Vincent Hospice. He was born August 9, 1924 at Granite City, IL the son of the late Fred E. and Dorothy Augusta Niemeir Stein. Wilbur was a veteran of World War II and awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars. He retired in 1988 from Department of Defense at Fort Benjamin Harrison as a manager. He is survived by his wife Frances Monforte, brothers Leroy "Butch" (Mary) Stein, Roland (Bill) Stein, sister-in-law Barbara Stein, adopted nephew Mark Strachan and nieces and nephews. Wilbur was preceded in death by a brother Harold (Harry) Stein, sisters Mildred Foehner and Irma Stein. Services will be Noon Friday June 15, 2007 at Advent Lutheran Church Zionsville with calling from 10 am to service time.
