I had the opportunity to work for Chief Brown as a young firefighter in center city Philadelphia. He was a great teacher who always took time to explain the job to his firefighters. I learned a great deal from him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I was very sorry to learn of Al Brown's passing. I worked with Al in the PFD, Mostly in West Philadelphia. I found him to be an agressive Firefighter and a very good Fire Officer. My condolences to all of his family and friends.
