Dr. Albert S. Kroser

Kroser Dr. Albert S. Age 93, of Maris Grove in Glen Mills and St. Philip, Barbados, passed away on March 19th, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Lila (nee Stein). Devoted Father of Dr. Joyann (Jason Schmoyer) Kroser, Dr. Jonathan (Ryan) Kroser and Marla (Evan) Lerner. Loving Pop-Pop of Samantha, Ariel, Danielle, Jessica, Morgan, Asher, and Archer. He was born July 15, 1930, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He was raised in Strawberry Mansion and was a graduate of Temple University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He and his late wife shared a robust medical practice in their home in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia from the late 1950's until 2004 where he continued the tradition of making house calls. He was also medical director of Ashton Nursing Home where he compassionately cared for his geriatric patients. Dr. Al, as he was known by all, had a zest for life and enjoyed orchestra concerts, going to the theater, travelling the world, especially to his home called "Three Desserts" in Barbados. His sense of humor was legendary, and he always had a joke for everyone. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved beyond all measure. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside services at Shalom Memorial Park at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2024. Shiva will be observed from 2 P.M. at the Kroser residence.
