ALICE M. of Chestnut Hill on July 2, 2004, wife of Thomas J. Warsh and mother of Michael and Alyssa; sister of Jean, Mary and Loretta Hayes. Relatives and friend are invited to her Memorial Service, Thurs. 11: A.M. at St. Paul's Reformed Episcopal Church, 800 Church Rd, Oreland. Friends may call, at the church on Thurs. from 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in her name may be send to Keystone Hospice, 8765 Stenton Ave, Wyndmoor PA 19038.

When I met you, Alice, three decades ago(!), it was "love at first sight", and you remained my best and most steadfast friend, fulcrum and kindred spirit. I am missing you so much...yet thankful we had our close friendship. I will miss your sweet nature, sense of humor, and the years and insights we shared together. I will keep your memory in my heart. Although I only knew Alice for a few years, she is someone who touched my life and someone I will keep in my heart and never forget. I met Alice, Tom, Alyssa, Michael and Jean because I was searching for information on our family roots. Alice and Jean are second cousins of mine that I had never met. I called up Alice one day and she invited me into her home to share what she knew about our family and to get to know me. I spent nearly all day in her home. Afterwards, we all stayed in touch through family gatherings. Alice was such a kind, intelligent, generous woman who I feel has really inspired me continue with my search for our family roots. I will always be very thankful to her and her family for all their kindness and openness. Alice will stay in the hearts of all she has taught and aided. She is truely a wonderful woman!

alice, what fun we had when we got to meet you, tom, and the kids (and jean!) in philly. the time at margate and the dinner at your house will always be special memories. bradley and i still consider that one of our favorite trips. you will always be in my heart as a very special first cousin. we love you, alice! (watch for us on the boardwalk...)

My sincere sympathy to Tom, Micahel, Alyssa and Alice's sisters. It was a genuine privilege to be invited to visit Alice before she died.It allowed me to witness the magnificent love with which her family surrounded her. For that I am deeply grateful.
I was first introduced to Alice in 1982 when she was advocating for the patients and families at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. The Pastoral Care Department there and the spin off, Center for Grieving Children, Teens and Families, are legacies of her origional dedication and perseverence in seeing that the emotional and spiritual needs of children and their families were made priorities. I truly believe she will continue to do advocacy from her new home.
