Uncle Icky was a kind man. I remember when he would go out of his way to pick me up from school. I remember when he would pick me up and take me over to see my grandmom. Even as a child, I knew he was there for me if I needed him.
Uncle Icky was a family man. He loved and was proud of his children and grandchildren. I remember the white car with license plates with his children's name on it.
I'm glad that my husband and son had a chance to have him as their uncle, too.
We will miss this quiet, strong man.
To his family, may you have comfort in knowing that he is now in heaven and free of pain. He can soar with angel wings. Try to remember the good times and know that we will carry a piece of him around in our hearts.
