I am an old friend from over 30 years ago and an attorney. We shared our Northeast PA roots when we first met in Philadelphia. I have nothing but very fond memories of Brian. He was a wonderful, gentle and kind person, while professionally being a powerhouse
advocate for his clients. Mr. Devlin said it best, the world is a lesser place without him.

A newcomer

I am the new intern at the Law Department. I have never met you in-person, but got to know you through my colleagues at the Department. I have come to learn that you mean a lot to a lot of people, so I hope you get to know the amazing impacts you have created. Rest in peace, Brian.

Brian was kind to all and a dear colleague. He was an extraordinary advocate and mentor to many attorneys. I learned much from him.

I was J. Brian's secretary at the law department for a little while. He gave me the best Christmas card I ever received. It urged me to be a rebel (which I would like to be)- "to have a happy Christmas and a merry new year".

Brian was a wonderful person and an excellent attorney with whom I had the privilege of working for 7 years in private practice. Brian possessed a kind countenance and great wisdom. We extend our condolences to his family and loved ones. The world is a lesser place with his absence.
